IPRN guideHow an IPRN reseller and agent system works
Most IPRN businesses grow through agents — resellers who take numbers from you and bring their own traffic. Running agents by spreadsheet and chat quickly breaks down. This guide explains how an IPRN agent system works: the levels, number allocation, payout tiers, limits, statements and what each agent should see in their own portal.
Why IPRN businesses use agents
As a platform owner you hold ranges from your providers. Agents are partners who own the traffic side: they take a set of numbers from you, send legitimate calls to them and earn a payout per minute. You earn the difference between what your provider pays you and what you pay the agent. With a good agent system you can work with many agents at once, without giving any of them access to your providers, rates or other agents' data.
Admin, agents, sub-agents and report users
Admin (platform owner)
Manages providers, ranges, numbers and every agent. Sets payouts, limits and billing, and sees margin across the whole business.
Agent
A reseller with their own login. Sees only the numbers and ranges allocated to them, their own live calls, reports and statement.
Sub-agent
A reseller under an agent. The agent allocates numbers and sets the sub-agent's payout from their own share — the same model, one level down.
Report-only user
A login that can view reports but cannot change anything — useful for accountants, partners or team members.
Rights should be restricted by level, and every login and action should be logged, so you always know who changed what.
Allocating numbers and ranges to agents
- Allocate by number or by range — give an agent individual numbers, or a whole range when they need volume.
- Instant allocation and removal — move numbers between agents without touching the switch.
- Test numbers — mark numbers as test numbers so agents can check routing and audio before sending live traffic; test usage stays separate from live payouts.
- One owner per number — a number belongs to one agent at a time, so every minute is paid to the right person.
Payout tiers: how margin is shared
Each range has a provider rate (what you receive). Each agent gets a payout (what you pay). Your margin is the difference. A flexible system sets payouts:
- Per range — because every range pays differently.
- Per agent — a large agent can earn more than a small one on the same range.
- In tiers — for example a higher payout once an agent passes a volume level. IPRNVOICE supports up to 9 payout tiers.
- With the right billing increment — 1/1 or 60/1 per range, so agent payouts follow the same rules as provider billing.
A margin report should show revenue, agent payout, margin and margin % per day, per range and per agent — so you can see which agents and ranges are actually profitable.
Limits and CLI rules per agent
Agents bring the traffic, so agent-level controls are your main protection against bad or unpaid traffic:
- Daily and weekly limits per agent, number and range — minutes, calls, country, prefix and timezone.
- CLI whitelists per range, with shareable CLI links so agents can load their own approved CLIs without access to your panel.
- Enable or disable an agent instantly if traffic looks wrong — from the panel or from Telegram.
See our guide on IPRN fraud protection, CLI limits and traffic control for the details.
Statements, balances and payments
Disputes with agents almost always come from numbers that don't match. Every agent statement should come from the same CDRs as your reports and show:
- Opening balance
- Weekly usage per range (minutes and payout)
- Unbilled amount up to yesterday
- Every payment made, and credit notes
- Running balance and amount due
Payment terms can differ per number or range, and provider demand notes help you collect from providers on the same schedule.
What a good agent portal shows
- Dashboard with today's calls, minutes and payout
- Live calls on their own numbers
- Their numbers, ranges and test numbers
- Reports by date, range, number or CLI — exportable to CSV, Excel or PDF
- Their statement and balance
- Their sub-agents (if allowed)
What an agent should never see: your providers, your provider rates, other agents, or your margin.
IPRNVOICE has a full reseller platform built in
Multi-level agents and sub-agents with their own portals, report-only users, 9-tier payouts, instant number allocation, per-agent limits, shareable CLI links, agent statements, credit notes and margin reports — on the same system as the IPRN switch.
Common mistakes
- Paying agents from provider statements instead of your own CDRs — you can't explain differences.
- One payout for every agent — you lose your best agents or overpay small ones.
- No limits per agent — one bad traffic source can get a whole range blocked.
- Sharing a single login — no audit trail and no way to restrict what people see.
- Manual statements in spreadsheets — slow, error-prone and the main cause of disputes.
FAQ
What is an IPRN agent?
An IPRN agent is a reseller who takes numbers from a platform owner, sends legitimate traffic to them and earns a payout per minute, while the platform owner keeps the margin between the provider rate and the agent payout.
What is the difference between an agent and a sub-agent?
An agent works directly with the platform owner. A sub-agent works under an agent: the agent allocates numbers to the sub-agent and pays them from the agent's own payout.
How are IPRN agent payouts calculated?
Each agent has a payout per minute per range, optionally in volume tiers, applied to the billable minutes of valid calls using the range's billing increment (1/1 or 60/1). The result appears in the agent's weekly usage and statement.
Can agents see my providers or rates?
No. In a proper agent system, agents only see their own numbers, calls, reports and statement. Providers, provider rates, other agents and your margin stay private.
Can I stop an agent's traffic instantly?
Yes. In IPRNVOICE you can disable an agent, a number or a range from the panel or from the Telegram bot, and set daily and weekly limits per agent in advance.
