IPRN software: switch, control panel, reseller portals and billing in one system

IPRN software is the platform a carrier, number provider or IPRN reseller uses to run International Premium Rate Numbers: it receives calls from providers, answers them with audio or IVR, enforces limits, gives numbers to agents and works out minutes, payouts and margin. IPRNVOICE is complete IPRN software. The call engine, admin panel, agent portals, traffic control, reports and billing all run on one dedicated server.

What IPRN software does

An IPRN business has two sides. Providers give you ranges of premium rate numbers and pay you per minute for answered traffic. Agents and resellers take numbers from you and are paid a lower rate per minute. IPRN software sits in the middle: it terminates the calls, decides what each call hears, applies the rules you set per range and keeps one set of CDRs that both sides are paid from. If the terms are new to you, start with What is IPRN.

The six parts of IPRN software

1. Call engine (IPRN switch)

Receives calls from providers with IP authentication and answers them. IPRNVOICE has a built-in FreeSWITCH engine, so there is no separate softswitch to buy. See voice IPRN switch.

2. Admin control panel

Providers, ranges, numbers, test numbers and agents in one place, with payment terms, currency, action and limits set per range.

3. Audio and IVR

Upload audio files from the panel and assign playback or IVR per range, with fixed, random or list-based call durations. See audiotext & IVR switch.

4. Reseller and agent portals

Multi-level agents and sub-agents with their own logins, report-only users and up to 9 payout tiers. See IPRN reseller & agent system.

5. Traffic control and security

CLI whitelist and blocklist, daily and weekly limits per range, number, agent, country and timezone, and a rejected-call log. See IPRN fraud protection.

6. Reports and billing

Live calls, CDR and summary reports, margin and timezone reports, 1/1 or 60/1 billing, agent statements, credit notes and provider demand notes. See IPRN billing system.

Around these six parts, IPRNVOICE adds a REST API and webhooks, CSV and Excel export, an Android app, a Telegram bot for alerts and control, and login history with "added by" on every record.

Panel-only, full platform or hosted

Most IPRN software falls into one of three setups. The right one depends on whether you already run a switch and how much you want to manage yourself.

SetupWhat you getBest for
Panel onlyA control panel and reports that sit on top of a softswitch you already runOperators with an existing switch and their own engineers
Full IPRN platformCall engine, admin panel, agent portals, traffic control and billing in one system. This is IPRNVOICE.Number providers and resellers who want one system and one set of CDRs
Hosted IPRN switchThe platform is run for you, with IVR, ACD control and the panel managed by the providerTeams that do not want to manage servers. See the hosted IPRN switch at LCR ONE.

The difference between a switch and a panel is covered in detail in IPRN switch vs IPRN panel.

How to choose IPRN software: 10 checks

  1. Built-in call engine. Does it answer calls itself, or do you need a separate softswitch?
  2. Per-range settings. Can rate, billing increment, currency, payment terms and limits be set per range?
  3. Unlimited providers. Can you add every provider you work with, each with its own ranges?
  4. Agent depth. Are there agents, sub-agents and report-only users, each with their own portal?
  5. Traffic control. Are there CLI whitelists and blocklists, and limits per number, agent, country and timezone?
  6. Duration control. Can you set fixed, random or list-based durations per range?
  7. Test numbers. Can test numbers be marked and cleared without touching live traffic and payouts? See IPRN test numbers.
  8. Billing from the same CDRs. Do reports, statements and the margin report come from the switch's own CDRs, with no import step?
  9. Audit trail. Is every login and every change logged with who made it?
  10. Dedicated resources. Do you get your own server and IP, and how many concurrent ports?

FAQ

What is IPRN software?

IPRN software is the platform used to run International Premium Rate Numbers: it terminates calls from providers, plays audio or IVR, enforces limits per range, number and CLI, allocates numbers to agents and calculates minutes, payouts and margin.

Is IPRN software the same as an IPRN switch?

Not always. The IPRN switch is the call engine. Complete IPRN software also includes the admin panel, agent portals, traffic control, reports and billing. IPRNVOICE includes all of these in one system.

Do I need a separate softswitch to run IPRNVOICE?

No. IPRNVOICE has a built-in FreeSWITCH call engine with provider IP authentication, running on the same dedicated server as the panel.

Can resellers and agents use the software?

Yes. Agents and sub-agents get their own portals with dashboard, live calls, numbers, reports and statements, and you can add report-only users. Payouts can be set with up to 9 tiers.

Does the IPRN software have an API?

Yes. IPRNVOICE includes a REST API and webhooks, and reports and numbers can be exported to CSV or Excel.

How much does IPRN software cost?

IPRNVOICE starts from $300 per month on a per-port plan with 100 to 1000 concurrent ports, setup included. Setup takes about 4 hours.

Can I try IPRNVOICE first?

Yes. We provide a free demo panel login of a fully working system on request.
